Ukulele Lessons
You're never too young or too old to play the ukulele! This remarkably versatile instrument is easy to learn and brings great joy wherever it goes. If you are in the Seattle area and would like to take ukulele lessons from Miss Rose please drop us a line here. Miss Rose loves to teach beginners of all ages and will also design lessons for more experienced players who are interested in learning performance technique and "jazz" chords. Ukulele Workshops Miss Rose also offers workshops for music stores, festivals and ukulele clubs with exciting titles like "Ukulele for Absolute Beginners" (separate workshops for kids and grown-ups), "Let's Go to the Bar: Fun with Bar Chords" and "Performance Technique for Uke-Singers". Upcoming Workshops: Sunday, January 15th , 12:45-2:15pm, $30 Music Theory for Uke-sters Many new ukulele players are also new to the language of music. While you can play and sing lots of songs without learning this language, having a bit of music theory at your fingertips can help you progress as a player. Don't get lost again when people start talking about the one, four and five chords. Learn what a diminished chord is and not just how to play it. You'll soon be able to build your own chords and have access to the entire fret board. Beginners welcome. Please bring uke tuned to G-C-E-A. Register at Dusty Strings. Ukulele Jams Join Miss Rose in a beginners ukulele jam on the third Sunday of each month at Dusty Strings.
